CFDC Board Retreat

Board members gathered at Streamsong Lodge for a productive annual retreat, reflecting on the past fiscal year and hearing highlights and updates from each Committee Chair. The Board also welcomed insights from leaders in the economic development community and learned more about the important role energy plays in our region through an engaging “Electricity 101” session with Duke Energy.

Advanced Air Mobility is Taking Flight in Polk County

With access to dedicated airspace, the nation’s first AAM Aerial Test Track, vertiports, high-speed aircraft charging stations, maintenance facilities and space for research, light manufacturing and final assembly, Polk County has become the place to be for Advanced Air Mobility. 

CFDC Summer Interns

This summer, we welcomed Rylan Bevis, Alexandra Otremsky, and Emily Smith to the CFDC offices as Summer Interns. They had the opportunity to work alongside our marketing team, supporting social media, graphic design, investor relations and more.

Lee County Leadership Mission
